Flowers’ plural symbolisms in celebratory or mournful contexts can be sympathized by a diversity of cultures. According to the artist, folding flowers is a common, emotion-driven act that transforms personal sentiments, concealing them in creases.
Some of the flowers are crafted from Thai archives or promotional paper transferred onto special textiles, revealing their content when touching water. Others emit the scent of talcum powder widely used by the Thai population. The sense of corporeal intimacy escapes the intention of concealment.
